The Session

What to expect.
I will shoot at your home or at a location you choose. Natural light is preferred, but I do travel with studio lighting. I do not use backgrounds on location.
I like to keep our sessions fun, relaxed and simple.
After I arrive I will take some time to hang out with everyone and get to know my subjects. I may look around a bit, getting a feel of the environment looking for ideas. I may move some furniture and rugs, not to worry, after I’m done you won’t even know I was there.
A session takes about 1 to 2 hours sometimes even longer. Try to schedule a day when you are not too busy. No one likes to be rushed and children are more sensitive to this, so it is best if avoided.

What should I wear?
It’s a good idea to have several outfits already picked out. Keep it casual. Comfortable cloths are best. Try to avoid busy patterns, plain colors usually work best. Also try to avoid pictures and logos. Denims, blacks and whites, tans and other subdued colors work the best. Very bright colors have their place, but typically are best avoided. Try to keep everyone being photographed in similar tones.
Remember, keep it fun! Socks are preferred over shoes, bare feet are preferred over socks. Scarves, raincoats, galoshes, hats and mittens are just some items that can keep things fun.

Infants are best photographed before they are 2 weeks old. We can book your session based around your due date. But since this does not always go as planned, we will confirm the actual date when your baby finally comes.

Last but not least
Only those being photographed should be present. Extra family and friends can be distracting and I don’t want to compete for your child’s attention, this can be difficult enough as is.

High quality professional photography is a must for models. Your portfolio says a lot about you and is often the first impression on clients and future employers. Your images must capture your personality, style, professionalism, and charisma. A session typically takes about 2 to 4 hours.

You dont’t nee to be a pro to have your portrait taken. Families and couples are always welcome.

 Artistic/ Nudes

More and more women are choosing to document their pregnancy in photography, and with my artistic abilities together we can create a beautiful image that will capture this beautiful time in a woman’s life. A treasured keepsake for years to come. Don’t forget I also do new born photography as well. I offer discounts if you book both sessions together.
The best time to book a maternity session is usually in the 8th or 9th month. Ideally sessions should be booked about a month ahead of the date you are looking for.
These sessions as well as the pregnancy itself are about the family, so partners and older children are encourage to participate in the shoot.

Boudoir Photography
Photographing everyday woman in an artistic, classy, sophisticated and revealing way. How revealing is up to the client. It does not necessarily mean nude photography. What really matters is capturing the beauty and the allure of a woman, regardless of her age or size. Most of the people I photograph are of everyday people.
Whether you want fine art nudes, sexy photos or 50′s style pin-up photos, your session with Me will be fun, relaxed and a great experience that you will share with all your friends. As with all of my photo sessions, you can rest assured they are upbeat, casual and fun, so you will feel great and be comfortable.
